Specialist Environmental and Geotechnical Contract Drilling

Overview:

• Environmental soil core sampling
• Installation of monitoring wells (Licensed Queensland and New South Wales)
• Diamond Drilling (Coring) using conventional and wireline equipment ("N" to "4C")
• Installation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring equipment
• Packer testing using mechanical and wireline packers.

Environmental Sampling

44mm diameter continuous soil coring using wireline hollow augers (hole diameter 125mm, 25m of drill string available) suitable for very soft to very stiff unconsolidated formations can handle some gravels and weakly cemented strata. Samples retrieved in clear pvc tubes which can be used for storage or split open onsite.

60mm diameter continuous soil coring using wireline hollow augers (hole diameter 160mm, 15m of drill string available) suitable for very soft to very stiff + unconsolidated formations, can handle some gravels and weakly cemented strata. Excellent recovery. ID is large enough to construct wells or install instruments during pull back. We can also wash bore or core through these augers once they are in place. Samples are retrieved in clear PVC tubes which can be used for storage or split open onsite.

Geotechnical Sampling and Testing

• SPT testing to AS1289 6.3.1 – 2004 using automated drop hammer. Equipment Calibration Records from a NATA Certified Laboratory available.
• Undisturbed Sampling to AS1289 1.3.1
• Conventional and Wireline Diamond Drilling (sizes "N" to "4C").
• Wireline Hollow Auger drilling using either core or plug bit methods.
• Wash Boring and casing in unconsolidated formations.
• Packer testing using mechanical and wireline packers.
• Installation of VWP, inclinometer and monitoring equipment.

HSE and Quality Systems

The company operates, maintains and audits HSE and Quality systems. As the company is regularly involved in LNG and Public Infrastructure Projects: all equipment, staff training, and compliance systems are kept up to date.
